Tomorrow I’m heading down to Minehead to start hiking the 630 mile South West Coast Path. I’ve spent most of the day getting my gear together, a little hampered by having boxed all my belongings up a while back when I left to go travelling in Asia and North America. Seven months later and, of course, I can’t remember where I put anything. I’ve managed to find most of my hiking stuff but (rather unfortunately, given the weather) I can’t lay my hands on my waterproof trousers. I’ve never tested my softshell pants in really bad weather; I guess I’m going to find out how they do!
But for now, it’s time for my last night in a comfy bed for a while, in preparation for tomorrow’s early start….
